Jackson State University’s Department of Communications and Marketing team members, Charles A. Smith, photographer, and Kentrice Rush, social media associate, have won Photoshelter’s 2017 Libris Iconic Images Award. Smith’s remarkable picture capturing the total solar eclipse, earlier this year, and Rush’s mesmerizing photo of JSU’s Sonic Boom of the South were among 17 images selected from over 300 submissions depicting scenes from all walks of life.
